This particular custom image created for a Medical Center installation is based on Vitruvius' and later Leonardo's Vitruvian Man, with the square as the symbol of the earth and mundane and the circle representing heaven and the spiritual. The combination symbolizes the mechanism of the human body and is emblematic of the mechanism of the universe itself.
This graphic interpretation is enhanced to be correct in the perspective and proportion with the lines at the navel coinciding with both the center of the circle and the diagonal center of the square by the bronze lines. The golden section and Fibonacci curve at the lower half of the panel are added to form a blueprint signifying the inseparable relationship of our part of the whole and all things created of a universal one.
The large scale panel illustrated is integrated into an existing wall of the Radiology Department of the UVA Medical Center. Th radiological image was adapted from an image provided by Siemens Medical Solutions.

Long dry times or sculpture set up process time are factors in delivery and release schedule dates for installations.
